Lora

Physical Therapist, Pilates Instructor, Owner

Lora Guerra is the owner and founder of Live Well Physical Therapy and Pilates. As an instructor, Lora believes in the power of movement for healing and well-being. She supports and encourages her clients so that they find themselves not just gaining strength and balance, but moving with more confidence. She guides her clients through their sessions carefully, and incorporates breathwork and  fascial releases to relieve pain and tightness. Lora is a movement facilitator who loves to share her passion for Pilates and strives to make Pilates accessible to everyone.

Lora has been a physical therapist for over 20 years and received her Pilates Certification through The Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado after training locally at InsideOut Body Therapies in Durham, NC. She is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher with experience working with people of all ages and abilities. Among other things, clients come to her with joint injuries or pain, postural conditions, neurological disorders, or after joint replacement. Lora is passionate about not only teaching the specific exercises and movements, but why they are effective and how they can be useful in their daily life.

Lora, along with her husband and 2 daughters, loves to travel, and they have spent time living in both Puerto Rico and Switzerland. She also enjoys spending time outside whether it’s playing tennis, walking her dog, going for a run, snow-skiing, or sitting on her porch with a good book. She received her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of NC at Chapel Hill, and had previously attended Wake Forest University, studying biology with a minor in Spanish.

Sarah

Pilates Instructor

Sarah has been a BASI trained Pilates Instructor for over 11 years. Her love for patients/clients started at Body Dynamic Physical & Occupational Therapy in Clarks Summit (PA). This passion grew while guiding clients rehabilitating from surgery/injury and training those who simply desired better wellness, movement, and performance. Pain management drives Sarah’s diligence in her own practice as she navigates scoliosis and nerve damage. She understands the mind, body, spirit connection and greatly appreciates helping her clients discover this same connection.

In 2015, Sarah left her job at Body Dynamic to move to Switzerland. She enthusiastically took the challenge of starting over in a local international community. The hour mat classes Sarah offered twice weekly allowed her to continue her practice, create community, and gain access to clients interested in deeper work on the reformer. Sarah loved this active bunch as she learned to confront different challenges, and witnessed incredible results. Returning to the US, Sarah is thrilled to be back in a physical therapy setting and is very excited to join Lora at Live Well.

Sarah, her husband and three kids, are back in the States where they often spend time outdoors, a rejuvenating activity for the whole family. When Sarah is not weight training, teaching pilates or walking her dog, you can find her working diligently on her Masters Degree in Spiritual Formation & Spiritual Direction. She had previously received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Cedarville University.

Sheron

Pilates Instructor

Sheron has been a practitioner of Pilates for over 20 years after discovering that a regular practice is critical for her to maintain a healthy and functional spine. Suffering from sporadic back pain since her teenage years, she was blessed to find Pilates and immediately fell in love with how it made her feel, but more importantly discovered that the improved core strength helped to prevent back spasms. Because of how the method has impacted her life, she decided she had to share her love of Pilates with others and completed a comprehensive instructor training program with Balanced Body and went on to gain her national certification. While in training, she made even more discoveries about her own body and was able to improve her posture, increase overall muscle tone and flexibility and improve her tennis game by re-balancing her muscles.  Sheron is now a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT), certified Barre Above Instructor, and a certified Pregnancy and Post-Natal Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES).

Sheron is passionate about helping clients find their unique muscular imbalances and developing a plan to help them feel better and move better in their body. Her style of teaching is very calm, supportive and thoughtful, encouraging mindfulness and stress relief during a client’s Pilates session. However, she also challenges her clients to work hard and take their practice to the next level so that they feel and see the benefits of the method.

When she is not in the studio, Sheron is often with her husband, Chris, playing tennis or pickleball, hiking, cooking up a new recipe in the kitchen, or working her “day” job in the biopharmaceutical industry.
